Sunday Pack Runs...
The current club programme is run every Sunday unless noted below.
- Walkers start 7:00 AM (6:00 AM from 12-Feb)
- Runners start 7:00 AM
Note: We run at 7:00 AM from Sunday 8 January until the Rotorua Marathon in April, after which we revert to our usual 8:00 AM run time.

ROTORUA MARATHON 2012 BUILD-UP...
Sunday 5 February: Week 3; 24 km. Coyle Park then Blockhouse Bay Rd and back across Auckland. 18 km for non-marathoners. See you at 6:45 AM for a 7:00 AM run time.
Sunday 29 January: Week 2; 23 km. One Tree Hill, Orakei Basin & Tamaki Drive. 15 km for non-marathoners.
Sunday 22 January: Week 1; 21 km. Hillsborough, here we come! 15 km for non-marathoners - and you are spared Hillsborough.
AUCKLAND MARATHON 2011 BUILD-UP...
Sunday 30 October: Week 15; 42.2 km. A scenic stroll across the harbour bridge from Devonport, past the ice cream eaters at Mission Bay (twice) and back to Victoria Park. Good luck!
Sunday 23 October: Week 14; 16 km. Last one before the big day. We take in the marathon route from Curran St to the Strand. One knarly hill to test you.
Sunday 16 October: Week 13; 27 km. Ponsonby, Cox's Bay, Pt Chev, across to Greenlane and home. 20 km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 9 October: Week 12; 32 km to Glen Innes via St Heliers and back via Remuera. Last long one before the taper. Yay! 22 km for non-marathoners.
Sunday 2 October: Week 11; 27 km. A brief respite! Great South Rd, Rockfield, One Tree Hill, Hillsborough, Dominion. 20 km for non-marathoners.
Sunday 25 September: Week 10; 32 km. Titirangi, here we come! Remember, "Hills are my friend!" 22 km for non-marathoners. Don't forget to put your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night for daylight saving!
Sunday 18 September: Week 9; Today we run 27 km from the North Shore YMCA in Akoranga Drive. 20 km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 11 September: Week 8; 32 km around Mangere Mountain. Don't forget money for an apple turnover at Mangere Bridge! 22 km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 4 September: Week 7; 29 km around Panmure Lagoon. 20 km turnaround for non-marathon runners at Shell Ellerslie/Panmure Highway.
Sunday 28 August: Week 6; An awesome new 28 km route based on the old College Hill favourite. It even includes the final 6 km of the Auckland Marathon route. 20 km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 21 August: Week 5; 27 km alongside the NW motorway and back Rosebank Rd. 18 km turnaround for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 14 August: Week 4; 26 km Tamaki Dr to St Heliers and back through Remuera. 18 km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 7 August: Week 3; 24 km Coyle Park, Pt Chev route in reverse. 18 km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 31 July: Week 2; 22.5 km One Tree Hill via Tamaki Drive, Parnell and Remuera. 15 km for non-marathon runners.

2011 Rotorua marathon...
Sunday 1 May: Week 15; Rotorua Marathon this weekend! Good luck to you all. As always, there will be a skeleton crew running from the Y, but running at 8:00 AM.

Sunday 17 April: Week 13; 26km down Bond St and out around Hillsborough/Halsey Dr. 18km for non-marathon runners.

Sunday 20 February: Week 5; 26.5km via Epsom, Rosebank Peninsula and NW Motorway cycle track, finishing up Chinaman's hill. 18km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 13 February: Week 4; 26km out along the Mangere Coastal Walkway to Mangere bridge and back. 18km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 6 February: Week 3; 24km through Cox's Bay and Coyle Park, then back via Mt Albert, St Lukes, Balmoral, Grafton. 16km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 30 January: Week 2; 22km around One Tree Hill and back via Remuera, Kepa Rd and Tamaki Dr. 15km for non-marathon runners.

2010 Auckland marathon...
Sunday 31 October: Week 15; A 42.2km scenic tour from Devonport over the bridge to St Heliers and back to Victoria Park. Yes, it's Marathon Day! Good luck everyone.
Sunday 24 October: Week 14; A 16km meander following the marathon course from the bridge, turning off up Grafton Rd and home.
Sunday 17 October: Week 13; The beginning of the taper, yay! 26km through Cox's Bay, Pt Chev, then over to Greenlane/Penrose and home. 18km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 10 October: Week 12; the last of the big ones, 32km along the waterfront, through G.I. & Panmure & back down Remuera Rd. 20km for non-marathon runners.

2010 Rotorua marathon...
Saturday 1 May: Rotorua Marathon! We had 22 first-timers plus one lucky first-timer doing the Paris Marathon. All 23 finished!
Sunday 25 April: Week 14; Last Sunday run before the marathon! 16km to Tamaki Yacht Club and return. Ditto for non-marathoners.
Sunday 18 April: Week 13; 26km out to hilly Halsey Dr at the far end of Hillsborough and back. 18km for non-marathoners.
Sunday 11 April: Week 12; 32km along the waterfront and over the hill to Glen Innes, then back via Kepa Rd. 22km for non-marathoners.
Sunday 4 April: Week 11; Easter Sunday! 27km around Hillsborough Rd and Penrose, and 20km for non-marathoners.

2009 Auckland marathon...
Sunday 1 November: Auckland Marathon day! The club is closed today to support our entrants. We'd love non-runners to help at the YMCA Marathon Club support tent near the finish line in Victoria Park if you're free.
Sunday 25 October: Week 14; the final run before the marathon next weekend! 16km Westhaven, Victoria Park, Quay St.
Sunday 18 October: Week 13; 26km via Ponsonby Rd, Meola, Mt Albert, Campbell, Gt South for marathoners and 18km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 11 October: Week 12; 32km along Tamaki Dr and over to Panmure returning via Remuera for marathoners and 22km for non-marathon runners.

2009 Rotorua marathon...
Sunday 3 May: Today is it, the Rotorua marathon! Good luck all competitors! There will be a smaller than usual group running from the Y today.
Sunday 26 April: Week 14 of Rotorua marathon build-up. The club is closed today for the YMCA Women's Event. Enjoy a gentle 16km run before the marathon next week.
Sunday 19 April: Week 13. 26km out around Hillsborough Rd anti-clockwise for marathoners, and 18km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 12 April: Week 12. 32km along the waterfront and into the depths of Glen Innes for marathoners, and 22km (or 16km) for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 5 April: Week 11; 29km around Panmure lagoon and back for marathoners, and 20km for non-marathon runners.
Sunday 29 March: Week 10. The longest run of the build-up; 33km out to Te Atatu and back for marathoners, and 21km for non-marathon runners.
